Arnbath Stopover Motorhome Aire

This peaceful Aire offers stunning sea views near Portsoy and space for up to two self-contained motorhomes or campervans (max 7.5m). We have an arrangement with Portsoy Caravan Park to allow disposal of black waste for £5. Book or check availability via AireStop: airestop.co.uk/sites/V12770. Just a 20-minute walk from Portsoy’s historic harbour, you’ll find cafés, dog-friendly restaurants, and the town’s famous ice cream. Enjoy easy access to Sandend Beach and coastal walks, plus spectacular sunsets, dark skies, and the chance to see the northern lights. Max stay: 3 nights. 1. Start in Portsoy: Head through the town from the Banff direction. 2. Playing Fields: Continue past the playing fields on your right. 3. Burgh Road: Just before leaving the town, turn right onto Burgh Road. 4. 90° Corner: Follow the road around the 90° corner. 5. Park Crescent: Take the 2nd left onto Park Crescent. 6. Out of Town: Continue along the road, passing the new houses on your right, and head out of the town and up the hill. 7. Arnbath Sign: Once up the hill, look for the Arnbath Stopover sign on the right. 8. Farm Track: Follow the farm track, leading to the only property in sight, which is Arnbath Stopover.

Choose your overnight stop

Choose a campsite for a longer stay with shared facilities. A motorhome area can suit a short stop in a self-contained vehicle, but showers and toilets are not guaranteed. For a nature stop, check permission, access and your water and waste capacity before you arrive. Compare current site information and recent reviews; a map listing alone does not confirm availability or permission.

Camping and overnight rules

Check the rules for the country and the individual site within the UK. Scotland’s outdoor access rights for lightweight camping do not extend to motorhome stays. Use designated overnight places or obtain the landowner’s permission, subject to local restrictions.

When to go and what to check

Check whether pitches are grass or hardstanding before wet-weather trips. Confirm site opening dates outside the main season and vehicle dimensions for ferry bookings. On narrow roads, allow extra driving time and keep passing places clear.
