Experiences

Risebo Gård

Risebo Gård is the perfect place to get away from it all, whether you want a relaxing break or you want to be busy in nature. There is a beautiful, approximately 2km path around Risebo that leads through forest, meadows and along the stream. There are numerous other paths and around 20 beautiful lakes to discover in the area. For the summer months, there are several nice bathing spots nearby to cool off. Climbers will enjoy the “Sjöända klätterklippa”, which is only a few minutes from Risebo.

Experiences

Stegeborgs Egendom

The campsite has marked places with fantastic views of the harbor, all with their own electrical outlet. The pitch is located on the lawn next to the bridge attachment on Slätbaken's southern shore. You have access to the service house with shower and toilet on Slottsholmen. During the summer there is also a possibility to access a small and simpler service house with shower and toilets adjacent to row E.  Right across the site is Slottsholmen with the old Vasaborgen in the spotlight. It’s facade-lit walls and towers glisten in the water during the night. Here is also the popular Hamnkrogen, open all year round. The area is surrounded by sea, beach meadows and Stegeborg's unique oak landscape.

Plan your camping trip

Choose your overnight stop

Choose a campsite for a longer stay with shared facilities. A motorhome area can suit a short stop in a self-contained vehicle, but showers and toilets are not guaranteed. For a nature stop, check permission, access and your water and waste capacity before you arrive. Compare current site information and recent reviews; a map listing alone does not confirm availability or permission.

Camping and overnight rules

Sweden’s right of public access does not cover motor vehicles. Driving or parking on natural land such as beaches, forests and meadows is prohibited. Use suitable road-accessible pitches, check local signs and follow the separate rules in protected areas.

When to go and what to check

For summer travel, check campsite availability around local holidays and bring insect protection for evenings outdoors. Outside the main season, verify opening dates and water services. For long drives, plan refuelling and waste disposal before leaving larger towns.

Camping questions

Do I need to book these spots?

Booking depends on the operator. Check each place’s current opening dates, arrival times and booking conditions. These are selected places to explore, not a live list of available pitches. Contact the operator before travelling if you need a confirmed place.

Are water, toilets and electricity included?

Facilities vary by place and may cost extra or close seasonally. Check the place details and the operator’s information for water, electricity, toilets and waste disposal. Carry enough supplies to reach an alternative if a service is unavailable.
